Improving the controls to move and resize geeklets

Description
Instead of the resizing button at the bottom left corner of the geeklets, I think it would be great to have 8 handles per geeklet, like shape objects have in OmniGraffle or Curio (see the attached screenshot). If you don't use these apps, the corner handles allow to resize an object both horizontally and vertically, while those in the middle of sides allow to resize the object in one direction only.
Also I would find really handy to be able to use the shift key when moving and resizing geeklets with the mouse, to constraint the move in one direction or to resize them proportionally.

Additionally, it would be great to be able to move the selected geeklet pixel by pixel (in edit mode), using the arrow keys. And dynamic alignment guides à la Interface Builder would be just fantastic. :)
