Did you try Refresh All from GeekTool's menu? Or is the menu unresponsive too?

FYI: I was running OS X 10.4.7 (now 10.4.8).
Do you have something logged in the console by GeekTool when you wake up ?

In console I am getting this message
08/08/2009 13:51:59 [0x0-0x1148147].org.tynsoe.geektool321656 /bin/sh: line 2: month: command not found
I cannot see what it relates to. I will remove some of the geeklets to see that is causing the problem.

Is that everything logged by GeekTool ? Though this is related to some shell script entry, it should not block all further updates of Geeklets. Try to remove this issue and wake up again to see if there is any new behavior.
